Wolfgang Reitzle studied engineering and economics at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, and holds a degree and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
From 1976 to 1999 he worked for the car manufacturer BMW, where in 1987 he was appointed a regular member of the Executive Board, responsible for research and development. In 1999, Wolfgang Reitzle took over as CEO of the Premier Automotive Group and Vice President of the US car manufacturer Ford. In 2002, he joined the Executive Committee of Linde, a world-leading gases and engineering company, and was CEO from 2003 until May 2014.
Wolfgang Reitzle is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG, Hannover, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Linde AG, Munich , Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Medical Park AG, Amerang and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of
Willy Bogner GmbH & Co. KGaA, Munich as well as Member of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer SE, Berlin and Member of the Administrative Board of Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Liechtenstein. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the „Deutsches Museum“, the leading Science and Technology Museum in Germany.In May 2014 he founded his own Private Office visioning.
